‘ let’s get one thing straight: i know you’re the reigning expert on vampires, but i’m not a novice hunter. ’ she crosses her arms over her chest, giving him a pointed look. but it softens when she realizes that he has a point. she does, too, of course, but he has a point. and it’s not like she’s going to back down from a fight — because, come on, she’s not even built that way — but it wouldn’t hurt to have some inside knowledge on this one.
and who has more inside knowledge than the guy who’s basically entire social circle was made up of vampires. some of them good vampires, of course, but still vampire nonetheless. so she slides the map that’s laid out on the table over to him, along with her favourite crossbow. ‘ i think you should take the lead on this one. your expertise will give us an edge in the field. ’ and, while she won’t admit it, she’s never actually taken out a vampire yet.
besides, this will be a big opportunity for jeremy. most of the other hunters still see him as an outsider, a beginner, even though being a hunter is his birthright, maybe even more so than theirs. they need to see that his in this with them, one hundred percent. he’s one of them now. and while they may still question him and his credentials, no one will question allison. they stopped questioning her authority when she shot curtis in the foot for talking back.
she’s a big believing in sending a strong message. and now jeremy’s that message. accept him and listen to him, or die a horrific death by blood sucking monsters. she thinks it’ll get the point across. now, while it’s just the two of them in the special operations room — aka a motel room they converted into their headquarters — she smiles at him gently. ‘ tell me everything i need to know, and then we’ll brief the guys together. ’
after gazing at him for a moment, she grabs him out of the blue and kisses him, hard. ‘ by the way, i’m already finding this whole you in charge thing incredibly sexy, so try not to get us all killed, okay? ’ her grin turns mischievous. ‘ alright, get back to telling me what’s what. i promise not to distract you by grabbing you and making out with you again. probably. yeah, okay, i can’t make any promises about that, but i’ll try to control myself. ’

Prior to the beginning of the series, his parents died in a tragic car accident. His sister, Elena, was also in the car that night, but managed to survive thanks to Stefan Salvatore, who rescued her before she could drown. As a way of coping with the accident, he started dealing and using drugs, but soon stopped after the death of his first girlfriend, Vicki Donovan, who had supposedly died of an overdose. Following the murder of his second girlfriend Anna, Jeremy purposely overdosed on pills after drinking vampire blood in the hope of becoming a vampire so he could turn off his humanity. However, his attempt to become a vampire failed, and the blood healed the damage the pills caused to his system.
Jeremy was shot by Sheriff Forbes after Damon dodged the bullet, and was revived by Bonnie, who at the time was channeling the power of over a hundred massacred witches at the witch burial ground. However, the spell that caused him to be revived also gave him the power to see ghosts, causing him to be haunted by the ghosts of his dead girlfriends Vicki and Anna.
After experiencing multiple traumatic events as a result of the supernatural drama in his town, including being compelled by Klaus to stand in front of a speeding car, Elena feared for his safety and arranged for Damon to compel him to live with extended family in Denver.
