He stares up at his Uncle with big brown eyes that match his Momma’s doe brown ones. He supposes he looks a lot like both his parents but he definitely has his father’s impulsiveness. Grayson liked being the only kid. He got the best of everything. All the love and attention from both of his parents and that of his Aunt & Uncle. The idea of sharing that with anybody else made him sad. Grayson thinks it is his fault that he’s not good enough but when he hears his Uncle explain it - it makes sense. “So you’re saying because they love me so much they want another kid?” Huh. He had never thought of it that way. “Uncle Jer if I had a sibling like you that would be the coolest thing ever. Then it wouldn’t be so bad.”
He reaches over to tousle the littlest Gilbert’s hair, a grin on his lips. “Of course that’s the case; trust me, I was such a troublemaker as a kid… your grandparents were always being in extra bodies to keep an eye on me. You mom never needed such babysitting.” He chuckles, but cannot help but sober at his nephew’s final sentiment. Jeremy’s so grateful that his sister has this chance to have the family he never could, and allowing him to be a part of it. “Gray, if I ever got to be a dad, and had a boy who is even an ounce like you, I’d consider myself to be pretty darn lucky.”
this is an independent tvd roleplay account, with verses to accommodate both the book and the tv show series. my jeremy is canon divergent after season 2. in general, most of my verses are set specifically after 3x11 when jeremy is compelled by damon to leave mystic falls. this is the easiest place for crossovers to occur as well. i have seen through season five, but don't expect to see a lot of s4-8 on this blog. if you do, guaranteed it's not canon compliant.
two important plot items: i will never write the infidelity stuff of s3. and i won't write jeremy killing kol. these are personal choices.

biography
Jeremy is the adoptive brother and biological cousin of Elena Gilbert. Depending on his timeline, Jeremy is either a medium (prior to the collapse of the Other Side) or a member of the Brotherhood of the Five (a hunter). His best friends are Matt Donovan, Tyler Lockwood, and Bonnie Bennett.
Prior to the beginning of the series, his parents died in a tragic car accident. His sister, Elena, was also in the car that night, but managed to survive thanks to Stefan Salvatore, who rescued her before she could drown. As a way of coping with the accident, he started dealing and using drugs, but soon stopped after the death of his first girlfriend, Vicki Donovan, who had supposedly died of an overdose. Following the murder of his second girlfriend Anna, Jeremy purposely overdosed on pills after drinking vampire blood in the hope of becoming a vampire so he could turn off his humanity. However, his attempt to become a vampire failed, and the blood healed the damage the pills caused to his system.
Jeremy was shot by Sheriff Forbes after Damon dodged the bullet, and was revived by Bonnie, who at the time was channeling the power of over a hundred massacred witches at the witch burial ground. However, the spell that caused him to be revived also gave him the power to see ghosts, causing him to be haunted by the ghosts of his dead girlfriends Vicki and Anna.
After experiencing multiple traumatic events as a result of the supernatural drama in his town, including being compelled by Klaus to stand in front of a speeding car, Elena feared for his safety and arranged for Damon to compel him to live with extended family in Denver.
