he watches the two of them work in amusement, waiting as the silence breaks in the room as a chair kicks back nearby and he watches as the man tries to run. jeremy is on him first and klaus half expects the man to wind up dead, and is a tad bit impressed when he actually comes out alive.
when all is said and done klaus returns his gaze between the gilbert and forbes before him, leaning back in front of his chair and waving his hand to dismiss everybody else who currently sits at the table. “do you think he’s the only one? i need you both. now learn to play nice together or ignore each other i don’t care. either way get used to it now will you please have a seat because there is much to discuss.” he was on the verge of losing his temper and neither of them would like it when he did.
evelyn was the first to make a move towards the table to the left of klaus to sit down. she finally let her gaze reach jeremy’s, and when she did it wasn’t her normal blue hues that could tell you exactly what she was feeling at any given moment, they were dark orbs. “i’m staying.”
his jaw is taunt, molars grinding against each other as he tries to show some kind of restraint. he’d been behaving himself since returning fully to klaus’ employment. this one girl, this damn reminder of a past life, is threatening to unravel every last bit of his resolve. he couldn’t allow her to have that power.
it takes a moment for him to comply, but once the blonde has taken her place at the hybrid king’s side, he too moved, but to the right of klaus. when his eyes finally find hers for the first time since entering the room, reality slams into focus. he could always read her, at least at little bit, so the hooded gaze she wore now was most telling.
he couldn’t address it now, not in front of klaus, and quite frankly, he wasn’t sure if he would at all. but the nagging in the back of his head had returned. “fine. what do we know so far?”

Prior to the beginning of the series, his parents died in a tragic car accident. His sister, Elena, was also in the car that night, but managed to survive thanks to Stefan Salvatore, who rescued her before she could drown. As a way of coping with the accident, he started dealing and using drugs, but soon stopped after the death of his first girlfriend, Vicki Donovan, who had supposedly died of an overdose. Following the murder of his second girlfriend Anna, Jeremy purposely overdosed on pills after drinking vampire blood in the hope of becoming a vampire so he could turn off his humanity. However, his attempt to become a vampire failed, and the blood healed the damage the pills caused to his system.
Jeremy was shot by Sheriff Forbes after Damon dodged the bullet, and was revived by Bonnie, who at the time was channeling the power of over a hundred massacred witches at the witch burial ground. However, the spell that caused him to be revived also gave him the power to see ghosts, causing him to be haunted by the ghosts of his dead girlfriends Vicki and Anna.
After experiencing multiple traumatic events as a result of the supernatural drama in his town, including being compelled by Klaus to stand in front of a speeding car, Elena feared for his safety and arranged for Damon to compel him to live with extended family in Denver.
